submit intern proposal early
finish Wolf's Rain
finish Kafka
Kafka on the Shore was somewhat of a slow start but it got better after the Nakata incident. So the rest of today will be devoted to speed reading through it. I really can't wait until Murakami's 1Q84 is translated. It's times like these I wish I picked up Japanese instead of Spanish.
I start my internship a week from today and I'm still unsure of
my my parents' so-called "career plan." I began writing for fun a few days ago and I started thinking that I wouldn't mind reading and writing instead of solving useless organic chemistry problems. Ever since I took American Constitution Development, law sounded more and more interesting or maybe the grass really is greener on the other side and the only thing keeping me is the fence.
Anyways, to prevent more sulking, I ran into this
video surfing the net. They're accusing that Disney traced their movies post-Snow White. I don't blame Disney the least bit.
We feel fine. @ Friday, June 26, 2009

I said I wouldn't blog today but I really couldn't resist after Guia and Stan and I all marveled at
wefeelfine.org. In short, this is a program that shows how people feel (taken from blogs) in the last couple of hours from around the world. They don't know they're being "interviewed," so to speak. As a result, the emotions you read are very real and very frank.
It's an immense program able to graph based on gender, connect the feeling to its corresponding image, show its country of origin, graph age distributions, show the most/least common feelings, and even show what the weather was at the time they expressed their feelings. The complexity of it all is jaw-dropping. It boggles my mind how long the programming for this must have taken.
The banner says "six movements," meaning six ways of seeing it as shown below. It's easier to go to the website and mess around with it. This is by far the most impressive program I've seen. Bonus points for tinkering with it with friends!
And just for fun, here's a stab. I feel as if I've grabbed a handful of sand and I'm slowly watching it all slip through my fingers.
So this brings to question whether we as humans really are as distanced from one another as we say we are. After visiting the site, it seems that our human anatomy isn't the only component we all have in common because underneath all that flesh, we foster the same exact emotions as everyone else. Do you feel lost? You and 15,000 others do too!
The only thing that differs among us just might be the surrounding weather after all...
After seeing this, everything can be summed up in four words: you are not alone.
Edit: Notable conversation of the day, a la BW3:
"You're lucky you two are girls. Sweaty balls aren't fun."
"But girls still sweat between their boobs too."
"Boob sweat's kinda hot."
Why are boys so primitive and crass?

Go forth and moonwalk to Heaven, MJ @ Thursday, June 25, 2009
I woke up to the smell and sound of eggs being fried in the kitchen. Despite having slept 8 hours (less than my usual amount on vacations), I guess it's a good practice to return my sleep schedule to normal human hours in time for my internship.
After running a few errands and washing up, I returned home to surf the Internet, procrastinate my internship paper due Monday, and read that Michael Jackson is died today (Farrah Fawcett did too, but she's apparently not as important to cover as the King of Pop. How tragic.). Cue the infinitesimal amounts of Facebook status updates raiding my news feed wall, all mourning for MJ.
I was able to read some more
Kafka on the Shore . I should probably finish it soon. Sorry, Stan. Promise I'll finish it soon :)
With the death of the King of Pop, if you're bored, play this game. It'll lift your spirits up from his death (albeit out of season). It's called
Winterbells. Pretty cute.
Off I go to Buffalo Wild Wings with the usual crew.
And continue not to think about the internship project I'm supposed to propose and submit...

Insomnia sucks @
I had a dream where I was accused of having someone else take my Anatomy final for me. They found out because our handwritings differed. I was about to be expelled and it made no sense because my Anatomy final was all scantron. The glare my professor gave me was the worst because this is the guy I was planning on asking for a letter of recommendation in real life. But thank God it was just a dream...
Anyways today, I - (hopefully) recruited some incoming freshmen to ASA
- lounged around in Stan and Eddie's apartment
- impulsively signed up for this website
- tried to tweak the website using some coding and with the help of Guia(but to no avail)
- couldn't fall asleep
- found out why this dumb website refused to accept the layout I wanted
In other news, I was discussing with Guia about how
DeviantArt has changed over the years. It's a website where artists can submit their works and publicly display them while users can comment on it. It used to be flooded with breathtaking photography submissions or realistic sketches. It slowly progressed into a site for anime drawing submissions. Sure, anime is still art. Not the best but art is art.

Then submissions like this spread like wildfire.
Hmm...wait, something's wrong here...
It's gotten so bad that a
game was made out of it. The aim is to input two English words without running into any catgirls, doggirls, catboys, [animal here]girl/boys.
Don't get me wrong. I'm cool with the good anime shows but merging two species together is just wrong. No more DeviantArt for me.

On a brighter note, here's a Domokun iPod cover :)
Tune in next time! Thanks for reading!
My first blog @ Wednesday, June 24, 2009
I'm not very into the blog scene and made this on impulse, but let's see how this goes.
