Paper hair @ Monday, September 21, 2009
I've been wanting to curl my hair without waking up early but I didn't want to damage my hair with heat either. So instead, I curled my hair using construction paper and slept with it overnight.

Ridiculous, I know...
But there you have it.This tiny quirk made it worth it getting up a little bit earlier.
Next time, I'd rather use paper bags instead.
Missing something @ Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Dear Exam Week,
I'm going to snap if I keep studying this much. Something's gotta happen soon.
Anything. No more homework, reading, and being confined to
one table in one
really cold science building. And
no more following that stupid planner. This day-to-day predictability isn't cute anymore.
At least make the BSB more hospitable to
living humans suffering students.
September 25th, hurry up so I can be miserable studying on a lighter scale again. And somewhere warmer.

"To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you."
"Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car."
My thoughts exactly.

The future freaks me out. @ Thursday, September 3, 2009
It's only the second week of school and I'm already doubting my abilities.
Some recurrent thoughts of the week:
Why am I so tired?
Is it just insecurity?
Is everyone else just as tired as me?
Why do I feel like I'm the only one studying every waking minute?
I don't really see the library or BSB full so maybe most people aren't in study mode yet...right?
Am I crazy for studying this much?
I really want to be a dentist after this summer, but can I? Should I? Will I?
I hope it's not too late to redeem myself during senior year
I wish I knew if I was graduating in May or December.
When am I going to take the DAT? Dad keeps asking me...
I want a 4.0 this semester but how can others do it with such abnormal ease? I'm only human with lots of doubts...
In the midst of all these looming thoughts, I read a quote that uplifted my spirits just enough to keep me going for now.
It is wise to direct your anger towards problems -- not people; to focus your energies on answers -- not excuses.
And so I re-focused on Genetics...
For the time being, I feel much better now especially after having quite a few laughs during the JSA meeting today. Maybe it was exactly what I needed. For now.
